So...
In the art community, I've noticed there seems to be a lot of stigma about references and copying, and as someone who studied still life originally, it pains me to see how badly people make observing to better your work own sound...

But in reality it seems a lot of us artists can agree -- it's not always such a bad thing!!!

And so, as a response to all of this...
Allow us to present a collaborative journal on the many nuances, virtues and vices of referencing Bunny Emoji-72 (Kawaii) [V4]

salmon heart bullet Enjoy the read~! If you have any feedback, please leave it on the journal linked below salmon heart bullet
(and if anybody is interested in my personal input, look at the very bottom of this post!)

Well did you read? How was it~?

Hopefully I'm not bursting anybody's bubble, but just about all of my work has references from somewhere! Whether it's another artist, or photos, or things I see in life or arrange/act out myself, all of these things have improved my art and gotten me to where I am now. Again, because of my still life background I was never tremendously against drawing from things you see, and in fact I consider it to be (for me personally) the quickest path to improvement. So if you notice skill gaps between my (not very frequently) uploaded drawings, it most likely owes to learning from whoever and whatever I can, without losing what I want for myself in the process! In essence, that's what referencing should be, shouldn't it?

Regardless, I hope you were able to learn something, and if you were originally dead set against the idea of referencing another, I hope this journal swayed you, even if only a little.
